Gray-crowned Rosy-finch

This is the main bird that comes to my feeder on a regular basis. The Aleutian subspecies griseonucha is non migratory and about 15% larger than other Rosy-finches.

Feeding frenzy! After a snow storm the finches really hit the feeders hard. Then as soon as the snow melts the birds dwindle back to just the 10-15 local birds.
